Abstract

The writer found in the Castle of Freiherr von Fürstenburg, Hugenpoet, near Kettwig (Rhineland), the original painting by Jan van Scorel, representing Christ Entering Jerusalem, which has been described by Van Mander. The writer believes that this picture has been painted between 1524 and 1527, and that it belonged to the Wyttenhorst Collection, the inventory of which was published in Oud-Holland, Vol. XXII.
