Abstract

In occasione della 4ª Biennale Ortofrutticola Internazionale (" Eurofrut '69 ") è stata svolta una inchiesta tra i consumatori di mele e di pere sottoponendo ad una serie di test oltre 9.000 persone le quali hanno espresso, per mezzo di una scheda, le loro preferenze in merito ad alcuni caratteri (colore, forma, aspetto, confezione, caratteristiche organolettiche, prezzo in rapporto alla qualità, ecc.) dei due tipi di frutto. Circa 6.000 risposte elaborate in rapporto all'età, al sesso, alla attività degli intervistati, hanno permesso di ottenere informazioni in merito alle attuali preferenze dei consumatori ed utili indirizzi per il lavoro di miglioramento genetico. During the International Fruit Exhibition " Eurofrut '69 " an enquire has been performed with the aim to detect the orientations of the consumers when faced by various characters of apples and pears. Over 9,000 visitors have answered to the questions posed by a simple form, on the basis of five tests for apples and four tests for pears. About 6,000 selected replies have been processed by a computer, according to a programme able to lead the optional opinions of the visitors, classified in order to their age, sex and activity. Conclusions have been drawn of interest for marketing and fruit breeding.
