Abstract

The archive of the convent was still intact in the mid-eighteenth century. Some documents have been lost, but the majority of those known are now in four fondi in the Archivio di Stato, Milan. Another important related source is the notary section, also at the Archivio di Stato. Further primary information is found in the Archivio Storico Civico, Milan. The codices now at the Ambrosiana and the "Raccolta... riguardanti il convento di S. Agostino" in the Biblioteca Civica at Bergamo have also yielded essential information. Here published in their entirety are the Pergamene from the convent. Other sources are cited partially. The Compendium of 1759 and the Definitiones are completely summarized.
