Abstract

Stellaria media Vill. as host for two new virus diseases. A new sap transmissible virus (Stellaria-Bandblättrigkeit) that was isolated from Stellaria media is described. The Tabak-Rippenbräunevirus which is reported to be limited to Solanaceae, was also transmitted by sap transmission to this plant species.
