An isotonic test is presented for ordered alternatives, with incidence density data, to test equality of the rate ratios (relative risks) in strata. A Monte Carlo study is presented to compare the powers of the proposed test with the Miettinen likelihood ratio test for the alternative of differences in the ratios.
