Abstract

Le sujet des rapports entre guerre et religion est vaste : outre l'étude des rites, il englobe le rôle de la religion dans le déclenchement ou la suspension des combats, et aussi de la répercussion de la guerre sur la religion, ce qui est un aspect important des rapports entre guerre et société à l'époque classique. The relationships between war and religion is a vast topic : besides the study of rites, it involves the role of religion in the outbreak or suspension of war and also the impact of war upon religion, which is an important aspect of the relationship between war and society in classical times.
