Abstract

Examinations were made on the influence of different stocks on the potassium, calcium, sodium, and carbohydrate contents of the leaves of the English Morello. The analysis of the leaves of the Köröser Weichsel served as comparison. The stock has a clear influence on the contents of the leaves in mineral substances; but also the scion in some way controls the absorption of nutrients. The starch content of the leaves is subject to great fluctuation during the whole vegetation period. An influence by the stock could not be noted. The content of the leaves in reducing sugars is not subject to such great fluctiations. However, also here an influence by the stock could not be observed.
