Abstract

For a state like Orissa with few big industrial units, the main issue will be to work out strategies that help in the sustainable decentralised growth of industries. The present pattern of industrialisation is largely inadequate and the state has to actively intervene in the promotion of those industries suitable to the resource endowment of the state.
