Irish Economic and Social History, the journal of The Economic and Social History Society of Ireland, has published annually since 1974 and has given a marked impetus to professional publication in the field. The journal promotes research and developments in the teaching of economic and social history of Ireland and the Irish overseas, from the Middle Ages to the present day. It comprises articles and shorter notes; review articles; abstracts of recent postgraduate theses; book reviews; and a bibliography of writings on Irish economic and social history appearing in the previous year.

MOVING WALL
The "moving wall" represents the time period between the last issue available in JSTOR and the most recently published issue of a journal.
Moving walls are generally represented in years.
In calculating the moving wall, the current year is not counted.
For example, if the current year is 2008 and a journal has a 5 year moving wall, articles from the year 2002 are available.
