The Medical History Journal, founded in 1966, provides an internationally established forum for the study of health and medical history in its respective scientific, social, political and cultural context. The journal publishes first publications on whose admission a peer review process decides, and takes into account both the history of science and the social history of medical history. Also special fields such as dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy and biology space is offered.

Das 1966 gegründete Medizinhistorische Journal bietet ein international etabliertes Forum für die Erforschung der Gesundheits- und Medizingeschichte in ihrem jeweiligen wissenschaftlichen, sozialen, politischen und kulturellen Kontext. Die Zeitschrift veröffentlicht Erstpublikationen, über deren Aufnahme ein peer-review-Verfahren entscheidet, und berücksichtigt sowohl die wissenschaftsgeschichtliche als auch die sozialgeschichtliche Seite der Medizingeschichte. Auch Spezialgebieten wie der Zahnheilkunde, der Veterinärmedizin, Pharmazie und Biologie wird Raum geboten.
