Thomas Mann Jahrbuch
TITLE HISTORY A title history is the publication history of a journal and includes a listing of the family of related journals. The most common relationship is to a previous and/or continuing title, where a journal continues publishing with a change to its official title. Other common relationships include a journal that is a supplement to another journal, a journal that is absorbed into another journal, a journal that splits into two or more new journals, or two or more journals that merge to form a new journal. For each of these related journals, the title history lists the dates published.

Scholarly work on Thomas Mann has in recent decades grown to such an extent that it is hard to be kept track of even by specialists. Founded by Eckhard Heftrich and Hans Wysling and currently edited by Katrin Bedenig and Hans Wißkirchen, the Thomas Mann Jahrbuch is a forum determined to present new contributions to the research on Thomas Mann in concentrated form. It focuses on Thomas Mann in his private and historical surroundings as well as on his work and its reception from different perspectives and puts them up for discussion. Among other features, the Yearbook presents the lectures given at the annual conferences of the Thomas Mann Societies and the annual Thomas Mann Lectures, instigated in 2017 by the ETH Zürich and given by authors of international renown, in revised form. Letters from and to Thomas Mann as well as other documents relating to Thomas Mann's life and work often find their first publication here. In addition, the Yearbook provides an updated bibliography of Thomas Mann literature in regular supplements.
