Fondo de Cultura Económica is an editorial institution created by the Mexican government to edit, produce, commercialize, and promote works of national, Ibero-American and universal culture through our own distribution networks and those of others, in Mexico and abroad.

Its actions are geared towards the creation, dissemination, and discussion of values and ideas, as well as the education of all readers, students, and professionals.
