Founded in 1929 as an educational institution, The Museum of Modern Art is now the world's foremost museum of modern and contemporary art. To this end the Museum is committed to collecting, exhibitions, publishing, education, scholarship, and conservation. The Museum is organized into disciplinary curatorial departments including Architecture and Design, Drawing, Film, Painting and Sculpture, Photography, Prints and Illustrated Books, and Video. After over a quarter-century, the Museum remains devoted to the art of our time.
