The Presses Universitaire de Vincennes, the Vincennes University Press, (PUV – University Paris 8) has become a central service at Université Paris 8. Since it was founded in 1982, its main purpose has been to publicize the results of the most innovative academic research, both nationally and internationally This research may be individual or collective, and produced either by our own departments and laboratories or by units outside our campus. Over the years, its aim has remained unchanged: to provide a real public service and encourage high-quality publications, and to play an active role in the promotion of academic work in the fields of human and social sciences, making it available to an open and enlightened public without compromising its intellectual and scientific rigour. At the same time, Presse Universitaire de Vincennes wants to remain open to other disciplines.
