The Royal African Society Publisher Description
The Society was founded in 1901 to commemorate and continue the work of Mary Kingsley, an extensive traveller of the continent and a writer and scientist on the study of Africa. It promotes relations between the U.K. and Africa as a whole - raising understanding and interest in all issues relating to Africa. To this end it organises and sponsors a varied programme of meetings and conferences and produces a high quality journal African Affairs on a wide variety of African related topics.
