South Atlantic Modern Language Association Publisher Description

Founded in 1928, the South Atlantic Modern Language Association (SAMLA) is an organization of teachers, scholars, and graduate students dedicated to the advancement of literary and linguistic scholarship and teaching in the modern languages.

SAMLA established South Atlantic Review, formerly the South Atlantic Bulletin, in 1935 as its official publication. Over the years, South Atlantic Review has published essays, review essays, and book reviews on a variety of literary and linguistic topics. As its name implies, SAMLA started as a regional organization; however, current membership extends throughout the southeastern United States, across the country, and around the world.
