The Henrietta Szold Institute, the National Institute for Research in the Behavioral Sciences, is a public institute founded in 1941 in Jerusalem. It focuses on research, intervention program planning, and training in the behavioral sciences. The institute comprises the following activities: research and evaluation achievement tests including screening and placement; measurement and evaluation services; a computerized information center; advanced management methods; courses, workshops, and in-service training and publications. The institute publishes research reports, bibliographies, monographs, literature reviews, training pamphlets, reference material and study aids in its areas of expertise. For the past 58 years it has also published Israel’s premier academic journal in the social sciences, Megamot.
