Vita e Pensiero, founded in 1918, is the Publishing House of the Catholic University of Milan. Today, the purpose of its editorial line is to become a more active presence in the cultural debate and  promote a greater development as a university press. Its catalogue is largely devoted to essays of general interest and Human Sciences: it includes 17 academic journals (of which the full text can be accessed from the site www.vponline.it), Monographs, scientific and educational works, divided by subject areas. Among the authors are professors of foreign and Italian universities, or names that have left a deep mark in the Italian and European culture of the 20th century. Vita e Pensiero publishes approximately 100 new products every year, distributed throughout Italy in major libraries and can be purchased online at the website www.vitaepensiero.it.
