Abstract
The author seeks to correct some of the impressions formed outside Yugoslavia on the nature of workers' councils in that country. He traces the evolution of workers' self-government, describes its present structure, and brings out the sociological significance of the new experiment in Yugoslavia. He then indicates the probable trend in the development of workers' councils in future, and makes suggestions for further research.
