Book reviews and notices of interest to members are included. The ZDPV is also the official journal of the Deutsches Evangelisches Institut für Altertumswissenschaften des Heiligen Landes (German Protestant Institute of Archeology in the Holy Land). Editors are Prof. Dr. Angelika Berlejung and PD Dr. Jens Kamlah. Submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by interdisciplinary and international scholars.
The Deutscher Palästina-Verein (German Society for the Exploration of Palestine) (founded 1877) focuses primarily on scientific research into the history, languages and cultures of Palestine, especially biblical history. To achieve its aim the Society brings together people with a common interest in Palestine and makes their research available to the wider public.
