The Metropolitan Museum of Art Bulletin is a quarterly publication, geared to a general audience, that focuses on works in The Met's collection or exhibitions displayed at the Museum. The 77th100th Annual Reports of the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the years 1946-1969/1970 were issued with The Metropolitan Museum of Art Bulletin. However, the 1st-76th and 101st Annual Reports were issued as part of a distinct title: Annual Report of the Trustees of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
From its beginning in 1870, The Metropolitan Museum of Art has published catalogues of special exhibitions and books about its permanent collection. A vast and diverse public is reached through the Museum's various publications, which today also include periodicals such as the quarterly Bulletin and the annual Metropolitan Museum Journal, as well as digital catalogues published through its online platform MetPublications.
